Alistair is Milo, tall and lean, carrying himself like a tailored coat. Those decorative plugs? Little cufflinks he never takes off. He likes a good entrance, arriving at the counter as if there’s a spotlight.
He’s a touch too pleased with his own profile and will absolutely choose the narrow end of the counter so everyone has to look at it.
The nicks are old news. He’s decided they make him interesting.
Put bread on him and he’ll do the job beautifully, although you get the sense he thinks he’s doing the bread a favor. Treat him kindly, let him preen now and then, and he’ll make even Tuesday toast feel like a curtain call .

Alistair is finished with a food-safe natural wax that will gently evolve with use, developing additional character over time. Because each board is handcrafted from solid wood, variations in color, grain, and finish are part of
what makes every piece unique. To keep the wood conditioned, apply a food safe natural wax as needed and avoid prolonged soaking or the dishwasher. We think Alistair only gets better with age.
